CLIMATE

Climates vary from hot to cold and from wet to dry depending on the time of year. During May through
August, nights and early mornings can be of low temperature and therefore warm clothing is essential.
Clients should bring at least one warm jacket. Light but durable cotton clothing with a preference for
dark green and khaki combinations or camo is the best.


HEALTH AND INOCULATIONS

Although Sheldrake is a very low risk malaria area it is recommended that precautions be taken
against malaria. You should commence with a course of tablets at least one week before the safari
starts and continue with it for a 4 (four) week period after the safari. There are no immunization
requirements to enter South Africa unless you are from or have recently travelled through an area
affected with smallpox cholera or yellow fever.


DAILY RATES INCLUDE

Full board and lodging, laundry services, professional hunter, guides, camp staff, trophy skinning
and preservation, hunting vehicles, all soft drinks, table wines and other liquor.
Transport to and from Polokwane (Gateway) airport.

DAILY RATES DO NOT INCLUDE

Visas, vaccinations, medical and other insurance, trophy fees, mounting, dipping and shipping.
Accommodations before and after the safari, charter flights if required.
Transport to and from Johannesburg airport.

3 Possible ways to get to Sheldrake Game Ranch from Johannesburg airport:

1) We suggest you fly from Johannesburg to Pietersburg(Polokwane) with SA Airlink.
3 Daily flights are available. We pick you up free of charge (1.5 hours drive).
2) Chartered flights can be arranged from Johannesburg Airport directly to our ranch.
Airstrip co-ordinates: Voorburg Camp (South 22°32'41", East 29°49'86")
Fontainebleau / Sheldrake Camp (South 22°27' 85", East 29°49'07")
3) We pick you up at Johannesburg Inter Airport and drive you to the ranch (4.5 hours).

The domestic flights (1) and chartered flights (2) can be arranged for you.
Transportation to/from:  Johannesburg Airport: $350/trip. (4.5 hours drive)
Polokwane (Gateway) Airport: Free of charge.

On behalf of my companions and myself (hunters and non-hunters), the undersigned, I do hereby indemnify
the directors and staff of Sheldrake Game Ranch and all or any of its associate companies, organizations or
persons acting for, through or on its behalf (the "Safari Leaders"), against any loss or damage whatsoever
occurred directly or indirectly by delays, sickness, injury, death, loss or damage to property whether occasioned
by negligence or not, or any expenses arising therefrom, which any of the hunters or non-hunters may suffer
while with the Safari Leaders or while under its control or custody. Although we take every precaution, the personal
liability of the hunter and the observer, including their possessions should be insured, sufficient for their personal
needs, prior to your departure by yourselves through an insurance company.
